Mon-Friday 8-5. 

Resource Room: job search assistance mon-fri 8-430. Staff assistance till noon, unassisted afterwards: open to everyone, no cost, computers, resume programs, current job listings, resume assistance and envelopes, “job search specialist” to assist in utilizing resources and answer job search questions, photocopier and fax machine, information on additional community resources, services for people with disabilities (visual and hearing impairments), online assessments that help you discover your ideal career choice

Paid and Unpaid Training Opportunities: mostly for clients with TANF: “Construction Crew,” “On-the-Job training (paid),” “Work Experience (unpaid),” “Jobs +(paid: single parents).”

Workshops: Must complete registration process prior to scheduling workshops. Call or visit SCBEC to discuss registration. Variety of workshops designed to assist in job search. 

Youth Opportunities: youth employment, work readiness classes, leadership skills, skill-based work experience.  How to apply:

Senior Services:

The Area Agency on Aging provides in-home services for older adults, including respite care and personal care. Provides congregate meals through community partners and delivers in-home meals to older adults who are homebound due to illness, disability, or isolation. Community meals are offered in Bandon, Brookings, Coos Bay, North Bend, Coquille, Gold Beach, Myrtle Point, and at the Lakeside Senior Center. Also provides information and referral to other services.

Intake procedure:Call for information. Call for times and locations of community meals.

Fees:Sliding scale fee

Eligibility:Age 60 and over and their spouses of any age

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
